Is Rosh Hashanah 2018 the Time of the Christian Rapture?

“Is Rosh Hashanah 2018 the Time of the Christian Rapture?”

Tonja Condray Klein – 09/10/18

I’ve read several arguments for and against this teaching. I’m not a scholar, but I am a Christian who has read the Bible, studied the writings that tell of the “End Times”, and now watch the news for signs as told to do by the Christian Bible. I don’t know the answer to this debate, but the fact that it’s been considered a possibility for so long means that ALL Christians need to pray, read the Bible, and LOOK!

I’ve always been one known as “Pre-Tribber”. This means that I believe Jesus Christ is going to come in the clouds for the First Return to rescue the people who have accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and translate them from the Earth to Heaven before the Great Tribulation begins. Some people believe that the anti-Christ has to be revealed first and make the covenant with Israel. I’ll state their view, but I disagree.

According to this teaching, we’ll be taken either midway into the Tribulation (3-1/2 years after an accord) OR after the Tribulation is over at the end of the 7-years of destruction. The first group is known as “Mid-Tribbers” and the second is known as “Post-Tribbers”. Another group doesn’t believe the Tribulation will happen at all. I’ve been taught and believe the anti-Christ can’t be revealed until Jesus takes us away.

Since I’m a Pre-Tribber, I’ve been considering the question of whether the phrase “No man knows the day or the hour” as stated in Matthew by Jesus refers to Rosh Hashanah or not. An online post discussing this question pointed out that the scripture states the generation that saw Israel become a nation again would not pass away before the Lord returns. The first thing happened in 1948. We’re now in 2018.

A generation is noted as 70 years for the most part in biblical groups, so the poster said that would mean it should be sometime before or in 2018. It didn’t happen yet, and Rosh Hashanah began on 09/09/18 at sundown and will end at sundown on 09/11/18. Christians should already be watching and waiting with how the world news is. Are we all keeping our lamps filled with oil for His return before Tuesday?

I don’t agree with setting time limits, making crazy calculations, or screaming the sky is falling. I’m just concerned that the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is NOT READY if this is the time of His First Return. Is your lamp oil full or has the world dwindle it down? Are you living for Christ with all that you are and all that you have? Are you ready to see Jesus Christ, our Lord, Savior, and King by this Tuesday?

This is not for shock value. This is for personal examination. I’m not asking for money. I’m not trying to make people be afraid. I’m not gaining anything by writing this except knowing I did this just in case it IS the time we will see our Jesus face to face for the first time by sundown on Tuesday IF the statement was meant to be about Rosh Hashanah. I want us ALL to be ready. I’ve been praying for all of us!

IF this isn’t the year (maybe there are a few people still living that saw Israel become a nation), or the generation time frame isn’t 70 but 72 (look for 2020 then), or this was never meant to be calculable due to the real factor being the last soul to be saved in the Grace Dispensation we’re in now. I DON’T KNOW! I simply wanted to make people aware of the possibility and have you check your spirit oil level.

Do you know Jesus as your Savior and Lord? Have you accepted Him through His shed blood on Calvary for your sins? Do you believe you will be flying away with Him when He does come back to rescue us? If you can’t unequivocally say “YES!” to all of those then please say this prayer so you can know. If we don’t fly this week then get to a Bible-believing church and live your life for Jesus from now on.

“Father God, I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe that You sent Him to die for my sins. He was born from the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, was crucified when He’d done now wrong, laid in a tomb for three days, rose again, and promised to return to claim us as His. I give you my life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!”
